Luke (he, him, his) is a self-taught, queer artist and designer living in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He spends his days caring for clients as a psychotherapist and making art as often as possible on the side. For many years, Luke has been drawn to the power of the arts and nature to promote not only enjoyment but also healing, growth, and connection to something greater. He describes his work as emotion centered, nature inspired, and spiritually focused. Lately, he enjoys working with handwriting, movement, and texture in his art making often using watercolor, collage, or pen and ink.
“I like making art that draws a viewer in for a more careful inspection of pattern, texture, or detail. As a ‘recovering perfectionist,’ it’s important for me to create in a way that embraces the beauty of imperfections that inevitably arise in the process of making something.”
